Set up in 2008, the European Social Fund co‑financed JEREMIE fund in Lombardy aimed at consolidating and developing the capital of cooperatives while, in parallel, promoting the social inclusion of job seekers. By combining public and private resources, the financial instrument helped to improve the provision of health, social and educational services and assisted disadvantaged people in finding jobs.
